Boys Basketball Program
Currently Open Program Locations:
Durham Region Boys Basketball Program for ages 5- 12 years old. Boys ages 5- 8 years old will be grouped together and boys from 9- 12 years old will be the other group. There will be 2 different time slots with the younger kids starting at the earlier time. Program times may vary depending on program date and location. All times will be stated before the program start dates.
Boys will be required to wear proper indoor sporting activity wear which will include: T- Shirt, Shorts or track pants and indoor athletic running shoes. We also ask your child to bring in their own water bottle to keep them hydrated. It would also be a good idea to either label or mark your water bottle so it doesn’t get mixed up with someone else.
Our Durham Region Boys Basketball Program will teach boys the basic basketball fundamentals such as passing, dribbling with the right and left hand, defence and shooting.
The basketball nets will be lowered to height suitable for the younger kids to reach net while practicing shooting. The basketball nets will be set higher as your child grows with the Kid Ballers Boys Basketball Program.
At the early ages of our boys basketball program we are not concerned about the rules of the game. It’s all about being active, having fun, meeting other kids and developing self confidence.
Our Durham Region boys basketball program is currently located in Ajax but we invite kids from Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville and any other location in the Durham region area to attend. Spacing for our Durham Region boys basketball program is limited so we invite you you get your child registered early so we can guarantee them a spot in our boys basketball program.
